Abstract
Dear Editor-in-Chief,
Artificial intelligence (AI), with its ability to rapidly and accurately analyze vast amounts of medical data, plays a significant role in improving diagnosis and care in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. This technology effectively supports medical image analysis, prediction of pregnancy complications, enhancement of administrative efficiency, and clinical decision-making, contributing to improved maternal and neonatal health outcomes. However, limitations such as data quality and diversity, ethical concerns, and the need for specialized training pose challenges to the widespread development and adoption of AI in this field. Addressing these challenges, investing in research, and establishing robust scientific and ethical standards are essential for the safe and effective implementation of AI. This letter briefly summarizes the role of AI in obstetrics and gynecology and outlines the main challenges that need to be addressed.
